Tasting notes for 2010 Mandala Butterfly Cabernet Sauvignon
Subtle spicy oak and long, fine tannins combine with rich, silky fruit on the palate. The fruit was harvested from a single block from the Dixons Creek vineyard at 1.2 tonnes per acre and handpicked. The wine was crushed into open top fermenters, left for an extended time on skins, and matured for 24 months in French oak. Cellar for 5 to 8 years. 13.5% alc/vol.
