The 2014 Mandala Yarra Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Story

One of the most popular red wine grape varieties in the world, Cabernet Sauvignon gained global attention and interest due to its favoured position in Bordeaux, France, where its commonly blended with Merlot and Cabernet Franc varieties. Suited to warmer climates, this varietal thrives across the "floor" of the Yarra Valley where it is considerably warmer - especially where Mandala Wines Dixon's Creek site is located. Yarra Cabernet is usually complemented with another varietal - ours is Merlot (less than 15%).
